I went on Fox News to talk about Kamala Harris’s decision not to run for governor of California—and the inevitable 2028 speculation that followed.
As I said on air, Harris has spent her life in public service, and stepping back to write her book and recalibrate makes sense. It also gives Democrats a chance to elevate new leaders in California—something voters are ready for.
When the host tried to spin the economy as Trump’s big win, I had to jump in. Fox’s own polling shows Trump is underwater on inflation and pricing—just as unpopular as Biden ever was. The look on their faces said it all.
