I could not agree more. If my child or my friend or my neighbor were in an abusive relationship involving lying, making false promises, isolating them by disparaging others, and that child/friend/neighbor confided in me that they were wondering about their choices, shaming them is the last thing I’d do. Commiserating with them, inviting them to think about their power in making a new choice, inviting them to see the truth of the lies they were told - these are the ways we encourage people to break free, to think for themselves and to make choices that are better for themselves, and in this case, the country.

Mike, I have listened to you on a few podcasts already and read your BlueSky posts. I subscribed to you on Substack like the first day, because I feel you are the "if the truth hurts, it is supposed to" type of guy...I like that and want to support you in moving the Democrats into the Politics of the year 2025. You want to WIN...we should all want to WIN...no effing purity tests and no more of the "we have a better message" that people should like us for BS.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. I could go on and on about our Leadership, but that is a story for another day. Thank you for your honest assessment.
