Remember some politicians are just egotistical fools and get completely butt hurt when the lose an election. Note also that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama lost elections, licked their wounds, learned to course correct and eventually became POTUS. By contrast, Stevens sacrificed her long-term political career over a short-term tantrum. Goodbye and good riddance Haley!
I hate saying this but Haley is a lot like other white women in this country. In 2024, 53% of White women voted for Donald Trump. It was a vote against their own self-interest. A vote for Donald Trump and Mike Rogers is a vote for bigotry. Policies that aren’t concerned about middle and working-class families. Just another betrayal.
Couldn't agree more honestly. Even though I moved more towards El-Sayed at the later end, I would have never questioned McMorrow's values or commitments. She had that Senator vibe and it's too bad that she was basically run out of the primary even before the votes were cast.
By the way, I didn't like the social media attacks on McMorrow or Stevens as productive to any policy causes. But what happened today was ridiculous, and an affront to any alleged passion over civil rights, voting rights, disability rights, and economic relief. Trump's government is even freezing funding to security grants for Jewish synagogues, schools, and community centers.
Michigan dodged a bullet in the primary, that's for sure. Like a social media meme that someone sent to me today, we could have had both a Fetterman and a Fetterwoman.
You are 100% right Mike. Haley has definitely shown her true colors and it’s costing her a lot. I’m glad you got to be part of the event in Chicago tonight. It is great to see the Democrats coming together with this development today. I’m hopeful the Democrats win the House and hoping they win the Senate. Thank you for another well written rant Mike.
She’s a loser in many more ways than one! She is disliked (I’ve always been irritated by her voice, her erratic arm gestures), now abhorred & self serving. I don’t know who her fiancé is, & I could care less. I do wonder what in the world could attract him. I’ve never cared for her….she’s been annoying & obviously phony.
Haley can kiss any future in politic she thought she might have away. I also went to sources to check if funding went up and to see if the polls changed and both were positive. What Stevens did even got Schumer to come out for Abdul. As far as Mallory McMurrow, she has been great and shown that she has a real future in the democratic party. She will be in office again in the future b/c she has honor and character.
I'd like to say it looks like Stevens sold her soul for a pat on the head from anyone who would give it to her, but I don't believe she has a soul. As I have said elsewhere, her moral compass is crushed if it was ever working. It is too bad so many people contributed to her primary, I would love to see her have to reimburse them.
