We should all be able to say/ write whatever we want, that's not the point. BUT NO PERSON OR INSTITUTION should be able to do so without punitive consequences for lying or harmfully and/or intentionally misrepresenting facts/the truth...Free Speech without accountability is a fallacy.
Mike, I was glad to read about the hygiene kit project you are doing. Here in San Antonio we have an organization called the Thrive Center that provides housing for homeless LGBTQ teenagers. My church is preparing 50 hygiene kits for the Thrive Center. I just finished sewing about 15 cloth tote bags to hold the hygiene supplies. We do what we can.

I try to stay positive in this environment, and it is hard, but eventually there will not be a platform for that kind of talk. Well, there may be a platform, but most of America will have moved on and FOX, OAN, Newsmax etc. will be left behind. Good politicians, independent journalists and commentators and regular people will not go on those sites.
One point of correction. We are not a banana republic. In a banana republic, if you stage a coup and fail, You are toast. You won't live another day. In our great country, you get re-elected president. Ain't life grand?
