I think it was staged like all his other so called attacks. Trump and his lawyers need to present new evidence to the judge that haulted the building of the ballroom, they needed to show that Trump has security issues in order to get the hault lifted and continue the build. They not fooling me

It was staged. Complete bullshit.

I loved that in the post Mike listed out the recent violent attacks/planned attacks perpetrated by the far (presumably) right. And same with Trump's quote about Mueller. This must be stated any time the right starts portraying itself as the sole victim of political violence.

Let's also remember that Trump posted this on TS about current US Senators: "SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL" . "Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL." such behavior is "punishable by DEATH!" He also said this about Mark Milley after finding out Milley called China to reassure them we wouldn't be using nuclear weapons during Trump's meltdown after losing in 2020: "This is an act so egregious that, in times gone by, the punishment would have been DEATH!" If R's really cared about stopping political violence, the first person they should call on is Trump.

Any Trump supporter claiming high ground on this issue is completely, utterly, and irrevocably FoS.

It was staged. You will not convince me otherwise. It was orchestrated by the most corrupt administration in our history. Calculated & manipulated on every level. I am 💯 not a conspiracy fan. Trump has never attended while in office, security was lax, he hates the media. The war is a disaster as are his polls. The economy is getting worse. The midterms do not look good for republicans. Perfect time to stage something to lie, divide, distract, blame & flip the script. Disgusting & desperate. Do not be surprised if we do not hear much about the shooter after today…,🙄

Let’s not forget, “I can Grab them (meaning women) by the Pussy”. He’s disgusting. Third time someone “almost assassinated”him, but he’s still pushing to end any kind of gun control.

Best I’ve read about the administration and completely true. The press secretary is on my TV now completing the Trump lies and blaming it on

Democrats. Again and talking about turning down the bull sh-t. Most of it comes from Trumpity !

100% Mike. The hateful rhetoric and political violence started and has gotten worse ever since Trump won in 2016. When they blame Democrats for it, I just want to scream as the majority comes from the right and it always has.

Thank you for continuing to speak the truth, the whole truth - criticism and rejection of violence.

An excellent set of comments about the current president. I agree with everything you wrote.

Bravo!!! Thank you for being courageous to state all the issues that you wrote.

The rush to say "this is why I need the Ballroom!!!" just encouraged the thought that the whole thing was staged to they could say they really really really needed the Ballroom.

(a Ballroom that isn't big enough for this event anyway - so they'd need an Even Bigger Tackier Ballroom!!!)

... and then there's the FACT that the event is not a Federal government event, it's for the press -- to celeberate the First Amendment and not being beholden to whoever is in office or their administration. This despicable man as always makes it all about him and having those bow down in fealty to him.

RF 26 probably won't be an actual fire, but who's to say there won't be an Iranian sleeper cell in -- pick the swing state -- threatening to detonate a dirty bomb on the premise of turning over their "nuclear dust" to the U.S.? Whatever the alleged nationwide threat, it'll all be made right up by people desperate to avoid getting their collective ass handed to them in November. Plan on it.

You go Mike. You are absolutely correct!

It's so sad that you and other have to continuously remind people, including some democrats, about these facts or they get forgotten. Forgotten in the daily terrible behavior including the many lies of this administration. I'm sure you get sick of this task, but it's necessary. Thank you!

Amen to all of this.

not to mention the glaring incompetence and stupidity of the DOJ, announcing the specific charges they will file against the un-named perpetrator LESS THAN ONE HOUR after the event occurred, on a Saturday night when I assume DOJ offices were closed and staff was absent, with most of their higher-ups at the event. No evidence had been collected, no ballistics tests, no opportunity to attempt an interview with the perpetrator or search his background, no investigation for possible accomplices. NO prosecutor would make a charging decision that quickly, especially when our national security has been threatened. I assume they had 36 hours, which could be extended to 48 or even 72, to file charges. Makes me wonder if Jean Pirro had those charges prepared ahead of time . . .
