But watching that locker room made me wish Canada had won, if only to let them project strength and for us to live in the “almost.” And Kash Patel shouldn’t be let out of his house, let alone making the celebration about him!
And because the men’s team laughed when the maggot made a misogynistic comment about being obligated to invite the women’s team. So glad the women declined that “invitation.”
I wasn't ready to root for Canada to win, given that rooting for Canada in ice hockey is like rooting for Amazon or Microsoft or like rooting for the NY Yankees during the 1950's and early 60's. While there are individual Canadian players I like, Team Canada, in general, is entitled and arrogant, in hockey. I have nothing against Canada in any other endeavor, whether sports or other things.
There’s a third point here: the disgusting misogyny directed at the US Women’s Hockey Team by not only trump, but Patel AND the men’s team and their coach! WTF???? The women’s team did everything the men’s team did, but it was summarily dissed by none other than the predator in chief who egged the team and their coach in the same boorish response and behavior. I thought Olympic athletes, especially team athletes were supposed to be held to a higher standard of behavior reflecting the dignity of the country they represent. But it’s obvious that this fratboy dickish behavior is coming from the president and his beer soaked lackey. As for the team, they should be sanctioned by the US Olympic Committee. As for trump & cash, we just have to continue to let their outrageous, arrogant stupidity fuel our resistance. I want to think we are better than this. But are we, really?
