Mike, where is the offensive cohesive plan for the Democrats. I do not see a frontrunner and we are only playing defense while this guy has lawyers and the architects of 2025 working 24/7 to test every law and amendment? Until you have that and clearly articulated, middle and southern states will not leave Trump! In the northeast, you stand a chance but unfortunately we are not determining elections!

You won't see a frontrunner until 2028. We're building the new Democratic Party as we fly the plane. It's going to be messy and that's okay. Dems are doing a lot to fight back—stopping the worst of the budget via the Senate parliamentarian is one important win this week, for example.

Again, defense. The clarity of a LEADING COHESIVE PLAN is not clear. I will never vote for Trump and his people but when I deal with people on the fence, I cannot defend a path! Do we or don’t we have a Democratic version of 2025 to take back our country from this madman and his MAGA cronies? Can we ,WITH A PLAN, address affordability and immigration path to citizenship?

Until this OFFENSE is clear, we won’t win the vote! Still hoping and praying! 🤞

I went to Tufts, too, and long before you did. I just always cared about other people, and the Democratic Party is the only one with which I could affiliate.

Very interesting, informative, and uplifting. Food for thought as to how to move forward, in a very hopeful way.

I wish I could subscribe to all of these wonderful Substacks but this senior must penny pinch. But I’m very grateful to you all for including all of us, as this is so invaluable to our survival.

Seattle. FDR Dem lifelong. Negotiations require going more extreme left to balance the extreme right. Going center is going where parties go to die. The half that do not vote is the center that does not vote. Base campaigning is the only way and messaging by 3-4 economic

issues clearly stated by the entire party is what the right uses and works.

I said it before and I say it again. Republicans are clinging to a corpse. Will it continue?

“beating each other up and taking them down”. Spot on. Let’s stop doing that.
