If Charlie Kirk has the right to say what he has to say then why doesn’t Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert have the right to free speech as well?

AND Pam Biondi gonna imprison anyone out there disparaging Charlie kirk - framing any criticism as Hate Speech, and we cannot make any of that speech, but he could. He and Benny Johnson, Tim Poole, Steve Bannon - all out there with Lies, conspiracies, racism, homophobia. In fact Johnson, Poole and a couple others TOOK Russian money to post Lies. Go to Wikipedia, where they have a large list of all Kirk has said and you tell me that was not twisted, slanted, distorted shit.

Dad comes from his right wing bubble. He doesn't realize the republican party doesn't exist as he still seems to believe. He doesn't realize that he agrees with a lot of left leaning ideals. He still has an old mindset in a new world. While the rich get richer and the average American worker is stagnant.

“Stagnant” is being kind … losing would be a better choice. I think that what we knew as middle class will soon become the poor as more and more people file for bankruptcy. It will become an every 10 year event for many people. We are in a detrimental time and the “American experiment” may have failed. It is a sad commentary on all that fought and died for this country. A sad time, indeed!

Yes. Now that trump has gotten his way, the middle class will be put into a worse place, economically and more

I thought you weren't allowed to say things like this about Charlie Kirk. Or his dad, for that matter.

I was just going to say the same!🤬

Obviously not everyone has the right to free speech. Kimmel did not say anything bad about Kirk.

Cannot listen any longer.

I've been using the example from the 2000s of Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS regarding picketing military funerals. This was considered "Free Speech" by the Supreme Court at that time, which as a veteran really pissed me off. I know how this administration is getting away with this because they're crooked as hell, which is incredibly dangerous to have in charge of our country. WE, THE PEOPLE, are going to have to act peacefully, together, before it's too late. And it may already be too late.

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology defined by a dictatorial leader, the forceful suppression of opposition, and the prioritization of national interests over individual rights. It emerged in early 20th-century Europe and is most famously associated with Benito Mussolini's Italy and Adolf Hitler's Germany.

Mr. Bill, I HAVE looked up the dictionary definition of fascism. It's about 7 or 8 characteristics long. And I am very sorry to say that Trump now checks every box.

Here's a quick and clear one from internet/ Google search:

Core characteristics

Dictatorial leader: Power is concentrated in a charismatic, authoritarian leader who claims to embody the national will and is above the law.

Ultranationalism: The ideology promotes an intense, exclusionary form of nationalism. This includes the belief in a superior nation or race and often demonizes specific minority groups, immigrants, and political opponents.

Rejection of democracy: Fascism is inherently anti-democratic and anti-egalitarian. It rejects pluralism, liberalism, communism, and socialism, often using violence to suppress political opposition.

Militarism and violence: Fascism glorifies war and political violence as a means to achieve national rejuvenation. Fascist regimes build up military power and use paramilitary groups to intimidate and eliminate rivals.

Social hierarchy: Fascism promotes the idea of a natural social hierarchy, where individuals exist to serve the state. Individual rights and freedoms are secondary to the interests of the nation or race.

State-controlled economy: While often allowing private ownership, fascist states exert strong, centralized control over the economy to serve the national interest. Corporate power is protected, and the power of labor is suppressed.

Propaganda and symbolism: Fascist movements make extensive use of romantic symbolism, elaborate rallies, and staged events to foster a sense of unity and national rebirth. Propaganda creates a national mythology and presents the leader as a savior to rescue the nation from perceived decline.

But now people are being fired for their FREEDOM OF SPEECH being taken away , why was it ok for Kirk talk hate, racism, bigotry. This is America taking away FREEDOM of SPEECH is not acceptable!

I've been saying that anyone criticizing Trump will eventually be deported, imprisoned, or executed. And people are probably thinking, "Yeah, right." Unfortunately, I really see this occurring. Especially, after Kirk's murder. Rights are going to be stripped away even faster now with Congress and the Supreme Court sitting idly by twiddling their thumbs.

Swearing is part of free speech !

But seems you care about Charlie NOT swearing more than you do that he said Black women had less brain processing power, gays should be stoned to death etc.

I’m more concerned by that than SWEARING.

PS- have you seen the video where Kirk said that President Biden should be jailed and even EXECUTED? And what has Biden done? Is he a 34 count felon or adjudicated rapist etc?

I don't recall you having the same response to the political assassinations in Minnesota. Did you come out and say, "Oh yes, this guy is one of ours." Did you insist that the right claim him? Did they insist that the government should crack down on right-leaning organizations that used rhetoric that inspired him?

I don't celebrate Charlie Kirk's death, nor do I condone political violence of any kind. We should all take this stance, but we should also avoid canonizing Kirk. I didn't know the man and can't form an opinion of his character other than the widely available clips and recordings of him that certainly make me believe that he was an unapologetic racist and misogynist. That shouldn't equal a death sentence. It should disqualify him for widespread admiration.
