Donald Trump is an evil misanthrope. A Bond Villain. Absolutely working overtime to ruin people’s lives, financially, medically, mentally. So relieved to see this repudiation. The GOP is cracking. my belief is that 70+ is retirement time....and i communicated with her about this when i lived in her constituency and after i moved to the PNW.
i constantly asked her, as well as feinstein, and now patty murray and cantwell in WA, to spend time mentoring younger replacements, asking them to retire and mentor FREE OF CHARGE their replacements....
they have been representing us in congress for a long time, we've paid them and voted for them to get the experience, so they MAY NOT charge huge consulting fees to pass on their experience and knowledge.
they've been on the congressional gravy train for soooo long and have made enough money profiting from their roles in congress, and new YOUNG people (up to 55y/o) are needed for the future.
all the new young people must be given the reins to lead this country - their way....
yes i'm old, but at least i realize that i have achieved a lot, and the future is for the people who are going to inherit it...... (even though i retain the right to grumble about young people)... :)
as for the party being all in a tizwoz about zohran being islamic - it is shameful.
americans can choose any religion they want, and still be pro america.
stop always connecting religion to statehood.
if one dislikes the iranian regime - does that make one anti shiite islam?
if one dislikes the saudi royal dictatorship regime or the pakistani government does that make one anti suni or any other form of islam?
if one dislikes the terrorism of hamas and hezbollah does that make one anti palestinian?

Standing the ground on the shutdown - no giving in unless the Dems get what is needed - namely the Healthcare, but that’s not all. Democrat's need to get a positive promise - they know how Trump and his puppets lie. Something else Rosenberg said - be more visible to the people. At 82, I couldn’t be more pleased to see the young people get involved: I’m definitely a Zoran Mamdani person - thrilled he won. Let me say though, while I do know we need the young to start getting involved and winning, older folks have experience and the history. I can think of 2 great ones: Bernie Sanders and Robert Reich. Let us work together and take back Democracy and the principles of America that have made us the great Country we are!
You make a good point, Dianna McCullough. Every time I see the political torch getting passed and get excited there is a tempering voice whispering 'Bernie, you wouldn't want leaving office would you?' I must admit that I wouldn't, even as I also want him to have a well-deserved retirement.
