He just said that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. He interfered in the German elections, urging the people to vote the Neonazi party into office. He is unworthy of being an American citizen, let alone being taken to the bosom of the Democratic Party. He should be stripped of his US citizenship and deported.

You and Steve Bannon...are not wrong. But I suspect Elon has a few hundred billion reasons why this might be hard to pull off.

I fear Ro is likely supporting the crypto bill too...unfortunately he literally represents Silicon Valley in Congress. He seems a good guy otherwise, but his constituents...

I agree with you completely! It’s enticing to want to court a massively wealthy grifter to fund candidates. It’s a big, beautiful recipe for the dems to get caught in a web of corruption.

Musk is part of the problem. Billionaires have usurped the power of governments around the world. This is what happens when they buy politicians and corporations in order to evade proper taxation. Government is supposed to REGULATE the very wealthy and corporations AND to tax them adequately in order to fund the needs of the society from which they extracted their profits.

What we are seeing here is not what can accurately be described as a government. Rather it is the propaganda machine and slave master of the masses which it seeks to subjugate and manipulate to its own benefit.

It doesn’t seem to. It just DID and right in front of our eyes. They have stopped hiding it. If something unexpected doesn’t happen we are moving toward a situation way too much like Nazi Germany.

I agree. Massive turnout is required in the mid term elections. But not just turnout. All Republicans need to be voted out of office. They have betrayed our democracy.

Good Christians forgive.

Truly repentant sinners atone.

We should ask Elon if he has any suggestions how we, together —not completely trusting each other—, can most effectively save our democracy.

I suggest we let him keep some of his contracts, in exchange for funding a complete and lasting overthrow of the Trump Machine.

Reach out to him, with warnings that he has to redeem himself, and undo the damage he caused.

Ask the advice of Liz & Dick Cheney. Also Michael Cohen, Adam Kinzinger, and disaffected ex-Trump Cabinet members. Do they have any credibility, clout, and back-channels left among their former colleagues?

And AOC and Bernie. And anyone else who can be trusted. Keep up the resistance!

Propose to Americans a measured, honorable, realistic plan to reverse the damage Trump’s vindictive administration has done.

Bring home the illegally deported. Release the immorally detained.

Start there.

That’s a thoughtful plan you suggest, but would only work if Musk wanted to save Democracy. He doesn’t. He is frustrated that he isn’t getting everything he wants and that more Americans aren’t suffering and being pushed into poverty. He is actively pursuing authoritarianism. He remains evil and unrepentant and hasn’t earned forgiveness.

I write a Substack column that focuses on the impact of the Trump Administration's slash and burn approach to government. I am also involved in Democratic politics on a county level with a focus on electing Democrats. There should never be any consideration given to treating Musk for anything other than what we know he is. Siding with him would be damaging to the efforts of Democrats and progressives in rural America, particularly in the state of Tennessee. In addition to slashing jobs that adversely impact rural cities, people overlook the fact that the Trump Administration has cancelled the Biden Administrations $4.4 billion program that was designed to bring high-speed internet access to millions of people in under-served areas, and in those area where no internet services exist. The reason for this change is a shift in focus from high-speed internet access to satellite connections, specifically Musk's Starlink. This man has been using the Federal Government to enrich himself and any involvement with Democrats would be for the same reason. And, as evidence to his negative impact on political races, ask the people from Wisconsin about his involvement in the Supreme Court race. He was toxic.

How can any Democrat even think for a second that Nazi boy musk would ever be an asset to the Democrat Party? He is an evil person he wants to take away Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, all of it just so he can send a spaceship to Mars! We certainly don’t need him nor want him anywhere near our agenda!
