Congrats on your weight loss - however it was achieved. Obesity is a neuroendocrine disease and needs to be viewed as such. Bravo for speaking up. I use GLP-1 to lose/now maintain my weight loss. Life changer. I know people who must be on “the juice” but won’t talk about it. I wish fewer people were ashamed as discussing one’s troubles and solutions can encourage others to improve their health too.

One of the things that bug me about people who take a GLP-1 but don’t admit it is that they give their friends the impression that they are loosing weight with willpower and exercise. No, it’s not that simple or easy.

Not so sure about that. They were able to make obese mice normal weight by giving them the microbiome of normal weight mice and make normal mice obese by giving them the microbiome of obese mice.

And just putting a medical diagnostic label on something doesnt put it outside one's capability to deal with it successfully without using dangerous drugs.

That you for talking about your weight loss. I hope you completely recover from your surgery. Abdominal surgery is always dicey. Sometimes when you get wound up on your post—understandably so—I worry for your blood pressure and have to hit pause😁All the best to you.

Thanks for your honesty. As someone who has battled her weight my whole life (started dieting in 5th grade), I can appreciate all you said! I use a GLP-1 drug and finally feel better about how I look. I will never have a great self-image because I have been tormented for so many years, but I feel like I can live with how I look now! It is an ugly world we live in when the President calls reporters piggy and makes fun of people that are disabled, so I appreciate you giving grace to others that are battling their own demons.

Thank you for sharing such a personal experience. I believer everyone has been in deep depression/suicide mode at some point in their lives. I know you are proud of yourself for working so hard and achieving your weight loss journey. Obviously these dumbshit republicans did not watch Disney “Bambl” during their formative years.

P.S. I still think you should run for office - you would get things done and have accountability.

Good on you, Mr. Nellis for sharing this kind of personal information. We all love your candor, be it regarding the political situation engulfing our nation and the world, or messages like the one from Governor Pritzker, as well as from you. I agree that it is fine to disagree with another person's political views, but personal attacks are always unawarranted. Bullying is personal and damaging.

Please carry on!
