We were in Albania a few years ago. Concrete bunkers are everywhere. The fortress mentality of enver Hoxja he’s very much in evidence there. We did talk to a few Albanians about the political situation. They agreed that hoxja did a great deal for the country while keeping it under an iron fist. But they also agreed that the government now is basically corrupt.
So it doesn’t surprise me that certain billionaires have their finger in this particular pie.
Let them all move to a corrupt country, and when the rulers get tired of their antics, they’ll just take their properties and possessions. Eminent domain to the max!
The Trumps and Kushners have always been snubbed by real society types. They are tolerated for their money but less and less in recent years. You can't buy yourself into the society they want to be a part of so they will create their own (or try and fail, of course). Everything you said... they are just horrible, awful, out of touch people.
Ivanka and kushner were absolutely despised in NY. Toward the end of trump's first term they were pariahs. Nobody wanted to be near them. IMO that is why they moved to Florida

That kind of money and effort could be put to something that would benefit others ... like building a community of affordable housing, etc. That would be something to brag about ... not this outrageous self-indulgence.
