Exactly how I feel, Mike. Well said. We have to push for justice as daunting as it will be.

I feel the same rage. Then again, I have felt this rage since Sandy Hook, when I first realized that the lives of children didn't really matter to the puppet masters.

“Epstein Class” every Democrat should use this label in every speech between now and November.

Don’t let anyone forget just who is protecting the “Epstein Class”!

Another phrase along this line; Republicans are “tax breaks for me, and austerity for thee”.

Trump should never again be able to pardon anyone.

Tony J's avatar

Good luck with that. He's now trying to pardon people on state convictions.

I may be naive, but it seems the only way to get justice and accountability is to not expect the government to do it. It needs to come from the private sector. I don't know who's brave enough to take on the elites, but am sure there would be nationwide support financially to fund the effort to take everyone associated with Epstein down, and find out who it was that funded him, because they are still out there.

“ A nation that won’t hold the powerful accountable for abusing children is not a nation worth preserving.”

We already have that nation. We’ve had it ever since school shootings became normal, and the murder of children became what was necessary to preserve our Charlie Kirk given freedoms to die for someone else’s gun fetish.

We have that nation every time Christian fundamentalists slander and revile gay people for the threat we don’t pose to children, but simply overlook the 400 to 500 pastors and priests that are arrested, convicted, or sentenced every single year for their sex crimes against children, women, and occasionally, men. And the powers that be just shake their heads knowingly, but we don’t know what it is that they know.

Actually, the word should be "still," not "already." Indian schools and Enslavement being just two such examples.

Of course you are correct.

My ResistBot letter for Feb 10: A pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell would be obstruction, not mercy. Congress must intervene. Use this link to send letters to your members of Congress.

If Donnie’s last distraction didn’t make you turn away, he ups the ante with a more awful distraction. Every distraction hurts more people.

The truth and nothing but the truth!

It’s so disheartening to see other countries take immediate and significant action while we do next to nothing to bring justice to the survivors. I’m ashamed of the elected officials who choose to stay silent. Kudos to those who continue to push for the truth to come out, and for all those who committed crimes to be held accountable. We the people demand it.

Thanks for the rage AND the willingness to stay engaged. I have family members on the Trump team too. Like you, I will not accept a divide. Like you, I love this country. Served her in the Air Force for 27 years. I am not giving up now. I don't think we can make this Epstein thing right, too much, too much. But we MUST get justice for as many people as we can. All the people responsible should be made to pay.

"...overwhelming swell of rage and grief." Exactly. Worse than and movie horror show. Over and over and over. With glee.

Thank you, Mike. This is everything I believe! Endless Courage should be the name of this blog!

Mike, I believe your anger and emotions and determination are felt by millions. Thank you for saying it out loud. The states have to take action to preserve the 2026 vote and the Congress has to get to the bottom of the Epstein files, for the sake of the victims. The system is fixable, but as you say, it needs all of us, citizens, states, Congress, to act together.

Tony J's avatar

I agree Charles, but what are those odds right now?

I keep thinking about the parents or families of those survivors. Or did they find runaways or girls with no real family? Because at some point you would think a parent would have taken things into their own hands (as in losing their sh*t and going after someone). It’s all just so sickening and bizarre.

Tony J's avatar

That is all part of what Maxwell did. She sought out pretty, young, impoverished, broken home, unsupported girls. Many single moms with multiple kids, working 2 jobs, substance issues, etc. No doubt some of them naively believed it was a 'great opportunity' for their child. Once that child realizes its a sick, dead end, they aren't likely to confide in their parent(s). Its what Maxwell became really good at.

Cheryl Faye's avatar

Let’s not add another issue to this. We can work on that in the future. All parents take offense to such criticism whether it’s their children or not. Stop pointing fingers.

I meant like one of them losing their sh*t and going after them - not like in court. I meant revenge. My sister was a victim of rape at 15 at a music camp. My parents didn’t know and when they did, they felt guilty they didn’t know and didn’t act. The perpetrator was the head of the camp. So I hear what you are saying - not blaming the parents at all. But I will say it messed up my sister for life. And she died way too early due to addiction.

I'm sorry for her loss, Kelly.

Enough of this steep decline into autocracy! Enough of the endless lies and cover up as the entire world looks on with horror!
