Slow but sure it is! Thank you for doing your part exposing evil. You make a big difference!

What you're doing is damned important, Mike. But it is still despicable that all these people may get away with this. The survivors should not be required to do MORE. The rest of us need to keep pushing and pushing until there are no more rocks for these creatures to hide under.

The Brit’s have morals and they have guts!! Unlike the US, it’s all so disgusting. How can we be proud of our country when we have this disgusting class of people running our country?!

Woof. Right to the point and with excellent arguments and insight. Thank you.

Mainstream media failed the American people too, with its absurd focus on balance and equal time. Fascists don't meet in the "middle" - they have a message that should be rejected outright or described honestly and starkly with all the rough edges.

“The United Kingdom has shown it can hold even a former prince accountable.”

Actually, he wasn’t a *former* prince when they started holding him accountable — he *became* a former prince when his connections to Epstein could no longer be ignored. The latest dose of justice he’s getting isn’t for abusing kids — it’s for abusing the office and leaking secret trade information to Epstein.

This is just one of the many, many, many issues that will come up at Nuremberg II: American Reckoning. If we survive to see it. But as long as this regime is in power, none of that will happen. The Epstein Administration is too hermetic, all of them compromised, and all of them held in stasis by Mutually Assured Destruction. It will only take one block to bring the whole Jenga tower crashing down, but somebody will have to dislodge that block. We can start in November — if we will. But that means the good guys have to dominate in the midterms like the US Women’s Hockey team is dominating the Olympics.

Thank you so much for all you are doing!! It is so sickening that Trump is President and the others that stand beside him are not in jail!!

Great post!

They are getting away with it!

There is a dead conspirator - Jeffrey Epstein.

One jailed co-conspirator - Ghislaine Maxwell.

Many victims with at least one suicide - Virginia Roberts Giuffre.

But, who are the perpetrators?

Thank you for continuing to shine light on this regime. I'm Canadian, and I know that most Americans have a deep respect for the rule of law and for democracy. There are more of you than there are of THEM! Keep up the good fight!

It’s a good column Mike, and I like it that I can agree with you on just about everything. But I have three disagreements, amd whether they are major or not I leave to other others to decide.

First, the Andrew formerly known as Prince was not arrested for sex crimes against anyone. He was arrested for financial crimes against the state. Royalty can understand skulduggery, but they have a real problem admitting crimes against purity. According to a now dead source whom I believe to be trustworthy, former king Edward VIII was known as having a fondness for soldiers and sailors. But what cost him the throne was divorce because of the then position of the Church of England in society. The king was the head of the church, and even though this church was founded on divorce, adultery, and fornication, nevertheless, it was a step too far. Charles and Camilla were able to get away with it, however, because times have changed. But the Church has not.

Second, as I understand it, Mr. Biden did not release the Epstein files because they were under judicial seal because of Maxwell. I certainly am no expert in this matter, but I remember reading people who seemed to be, and this is what they were saying. Now part of the reason why they remained under judicial seal for so long might have a great deal to do with who is named in those records and who would have come under fire because of it. It’s very likely that this is true.

And third, there is the issue that I have brought up many times. The complicity of religion, usually conservative, with the state and the rich to cover up sexual abuse in order to protect themselves, To protect the rich and the powerful— in combining the two, to facilitate their never-ending quest for power, money, religious Dominion, and in the age of Trump, revenge on every LGBT person, non-Christian, woman, atheist, and secularist who offended them. For the entirety of my adult life, I have been listening to these people attempt to blame gay people for child molestation while concealing the predators that infect and infest conservative religion like the maggoty MAGAts they are. I pointed this out many times on these very pages. The people who are responsible for the abuse want to point fingers at the people who are not responsible for the abuse in order to preserve their power, money, and religious Dominion. It is moral corruption on the deepest level.

I have written dozens of letters to reporters pointing this out in detail every time yet another professional Christian is arrested, convicted, or sentenced for having his hands down the cookie jars pants. I’ve received exactly 3 responses over the last year and a half that I’ve been doing this, and none of them followed through as far as I could tell. The failure of any of these reporters to follow through with this is very telling. The continued cover-up by conservative religion is also very telling, because if secular authorities start investigating the Rich in the powerful, they may well start investigating the religious Rich and the religiously powerful.

And we can’t have that.

Just something to consider.

This a political shame across the board. Its not a "thin" issue for the Democrats. For example Epstein man Bill Gates gave $50M to Kamala Harris campaign.

The New York Times reports Gates has donated a whopping $50 million to Future Forward, a nonprofit organization that is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

Mike I think between the Epstein files and the treatment of people from ICE CBP more people are becoming and speaking out. I heard Peter Gabriels song Biko again yesterday and these words struck me as again describing our time. “ You can blow out a candle

But you can't blow out a fire

Once the flames begin to catch

The wind will blow it higher "

The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our politics, not in our stars but in our parenting. Somehow we raised a generation (or more) that believes serving the wildest desires of the self is a legitimate past-time. And once the deviant behaviors of the rich and powerful are revealed, they're ratified. It seems like we're collectively experiencing at least as much titillation as outrage as we learn how the rich amuse themselves at the expense of innocents.

THERE IS NO “EPSTEIN CLASS”

—It’s The Capitalist Ruling Class

Individual terrorism and conspiracy theory are both forms of political substitutionism that arise when confidence in mass class struggle is rejected.

Conspiracy theories function as the ideological counterpart and substrate to terrorism. Both reduce the problem to individuals, "bad actors," hidden cabals, secret manipulators—rather than confronting capitalism as a social system. Both imply that removing a few individuals can rectify the whole. In this sense, despite their rhetoric, they are profoundly reformist: they leave the system itself untouched. The present conspiratorial fever surrounding the Epstein scandal is driving some toward political irrationality, and potentially toward violence, especially among the middle class. That is one more reason to reject the framework of the so-called "Epstein Class."

THERE IS NO "EPSTEIN CLASS."

There is the capitalist ruling class. Sexual abuse is simply part of what they brutally do as a ruling class on a daily basis.

As Marx and Engels noted 178 years ago:

“Our bourgeois, not content with having the wives and daughters of their proletarians at their disposal, not to speak of common prostitutes, take the greatest pleasure in seducing each other's wives.”

Communist Manifesto, 1848

The issue is not a hidden conspiracy, but an openly existing social order rooted in exploitation and oppression.

I confess to having briefly adopted the language of an "Epstein Class," hoping such revelations would expose the ruling class and the functioning of capitalism as a social system. That was a mistake. While such scandals may reveal elements of elite behavior, they do not produce class consciousness: More often, they are absorbed into conspiratorial narratives that obscure the social reality of a class society.

Those presently foaming at the mouth about the “Epstein Scandal" are not seeking justice for the victims but are cynically using those crimes merely for intra-capitalist maneuvering (Democrats and Republicans, ete.), and to vomit antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Capitalists do indeed lie, scheme, and conspire for advantage. But that is not the essence of capitalism. Capitalism does not operate primarily through hidden cabals. It operates openly, structurally, and daily before the eyes of billions. The political task is not to uncover secrets, but to recognize, understand and overturn capitalism as a SYSTEM.

Conspiratorial thinking is therefore not merely mistaken—it is dangerous. It feeds directly into reactionary and fascist currents by replacing material analysis with myth, and collective struggle with suspicion and hatred. Today the sewers of fascism are fed by liberal and rightist conspiracy theories. That should ring every alarm bell. Incredibly those claiming to be Marxists and "progressive" are hailing their newfound repugnant alliance with the fascist right.

In this light, the claim that Israel or its "Iobby” controls U.S. imperialism or imposed a war against Iran is not radical, but reactionary. It absolves the American ruling class capitalists of responsibility and replaces a material analysis of imperialism with a conspiratorial antisemetic excuse for U.S. imperialism, and Wall Street cheers. Once again antisemitism rescues the capitalist rulers. These liberal antisemites converge with right-wing ideology under a different rhetorical cover—as we see with the blossoming liberal romance with the ilk of Tucker Carlson and Joe Kent, etc.
