Why aren't the Dems going into offense against Trump?
How about:
1) getting together all the military officers that have been fired by Hegseth and Trump and have them sue the government for being terminated without csuse, or make it a “constructive termination” issue?
2) Have the Dems financially back all the court costs of any senior politician or military leader fired by Trump or attacked in court by Trump. In addition to direct funding immediately, they should organize GoFundMe pages for all the people indicted by Trump illegally.
3) Blue state governors should be training their National Guards to get out and surround and protect all ballot areas that will be used in the Nov. Midterm elections. They should do training exercises now, so the National Guard in each state can be used to protect voters from interference by ICE and the 1000 DOJ observers.
4) The Democrats should be putting pressure on all the pussilsnimous law firms that caved into Trump and make it public how much money those firms are paying an authoritarian anti-Democracy POTUS. Ditto for large corporations like CBS, Amazon and Oracle.
Finally, why are the Dems not organizing more work stoppages and national boycotts against corporations supporting Trump. And why are they not recognizing those corporations that are trying to fight Trump?
The Democrats are pathetic. They only play defense. They wait for Trump to do something illegal, and then they try to use the courts to correct it.

Yet we’ve learned how we can no longer rely on norms to encourage political leaders and Supreme Court justices to “do the right thing.” We’ve learned about the cracks in our government. New rules and laws are required. And these can only take place when Democrats are in the majority. Trump will veto efforts over the next two years yet this must not constrain Democrats from preparing the public for substantive change. What are the priority new laws?

It starts with getting better lawyers and litigating more aggressively, and delivering a better message about how they will do a better job for ordinary citizens.
The gop has pursued an effective litigation strategy for many decades (pushed by Leonard Leo et al), and a better communications strategy, whether they were in or out of power in Congress and the White House.
The Dem party leadership has mostly failed to fight back effectively.
Sadly, many Dem voters simply want to give the leadership 'understanding' and a hug.

The states that matter are Purple and handful of Red states. Unless governors are Dems, the national guard won’t be a factor. Organize a nationwide strike and announce it will take place if Trump interferes with our election. Lech Wallessa showed us the way.
To what end? REPUBLICANS are in control of both chambers of congress right now and demented donny owns the DOJ. Yet I see democrats doing investigations everyday, but they have no power.

I lived in Illinois during the time of Blagojevich and I never liked the fact that Trump helped him get out of jail. I agree with you about everything that you said and that people now days think they can do whatever they want to do and then pass it by Trump or his aids and they can get a clean bill of health. I have a pit in my stomach. Trump has neutered congress and a large part of the judiciary. The old adage “politics makes strange bed fellows,” has never been more true. Post WWII alliances that have kept us from world war three are being shattered. Meanwhile the tech bros and the crypto bosses are only interested in getting richer and richer while what’s left of the middle class withers away. To the common voter it’s all about the economy while to the politically concerned this election is about whether or not America will remain the bulwark of the free world.

For starters, my membership just renewed. That being said, the other big issue, not in this notification, right now, is whether or not our upcoming votes will be counted! They are planning to interfere with absentee ballots. Trump has publicly "requested" his supporters to vote whether or not they are registered. And...if Dems win, he is planning to say they cheated. So, he'll only be happy if Repubs cheat and win. WHEN are the members of Congress...ALL of whom swore oaths to our country, our Constitution, and their constituents, going to STOP HIS CRIMINAL ACTS?
