When I was in high school, I had a teacher who used to say, “you can get statistics to prove anything.” All you have to do is manipulate the sample. You can challenge these trolls by asking them where they got their data.

Or as Mark Twain said, "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics."

Sounds like those “polls” are the rights attempt to scare moderate Dems by saying that progressive and/or fire brand Dems are leading. Well that ain’t the flex they think it is… Bc those are EXACTLY the candidates that’ll be getting elected all over the country in ‘26 and beyond 💙

"DC Republicans"?? As a former D.C. resident, I was shocked to see this because "DC Republicans" are a negligible force in the city. So I read the story. Turns out you don't mean "DC Republicans" at all, do you? You're talking about the Republicans in Congress and the White House, who overwhelmingly came from, and are legal residents of, somewhere else. Please be more careful in future!

Dems behind the curve? Say it ain't so! Has anyone ever seen dems ahead of the curve? As they talk about responses to questions at policy retreats and write strongly worded letters to trump, the GOP keeps eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dems play patty cake with the bully. Dems bring casseroles to knife fights and then argue about the dessert napkins. Too many weak, feeble, corporate dems and not enough AOC, Bernie, Mamdani types. Dems play by old rules and wonder why they get squished like bugs on a windshield. The battle field has changed, but dems keep loading cannonballs into rusty cannons. Dems are always on the defense, and GOP on the offense, no matter how offensive it is.

Amen to everything said here. Democrats must develop the mental fortitude and singular focus on who we are and what we're about. We must also simultaneously and proactively craft powerful narratives to preempt GOP lies and establish how we are the ones who fight for American values and freedom.

Yet more disgusting - dare I say chicken-shit - behavior from the MAGA Republicans.

The D.C. voters wanted RCV by 73%. Democratic leaders in D.C. oppose the voice of the voters.

Please speak up for better election processes, such as letting unaffiliated voters participate in Democratic primaries (didn't happen in NYC!) and RCV.

As for polls, there are lies, damned lies, and government statistics. Twain. And Democratic progressives need to stop these anecdotal bleeding heart stories as if they were common.

So…why don’t the Dems do the same thing? Fire with fire and all that. Make them all as pointless as they already are

There's only one poll that counts. It will occur on the Tuesday after the first Monday of November of next year.
