Mike, I believe the James Talarico is the better candidate for Senate than jasmine Crockett. Talarico takes no corporate money or AIPAC money. He will most likely get the Latino vote over Jasmine Crockett. Jasmine is funded & endorsed by big corporate money & AIPAC money 💴. She is a fighter and she can do a better job in the House of Representatives. My family & friends in Texas like James Talarico much better too. Both my sisters are constitutional rights advocates lawyers and really like his messaging.

The reason that the Democrats have struggeled so much, I think, is because of the loss of trust due to the Sanders/Clinton primary. I, along with a lot of people I know, soured on the party because we felt that people in the upper echelons were putting their fingers on the scale and picking who they wanted rather than letting the group decide. Populism comes about when the larger population feels that they have been left behind or forgotten. And the common person HAS been left behind. Democrats don't win by telling people that they will do better stuff than the Republicans. They win by actually understanding how people feel and being trustworthy enough that the people believe the candidate has their backs.
The only thing i don't like about James Talarico is that he is running against Jasmin Crockett. She so super-smart and a knife-fighter in Congress. Her values are mine too, and i feel like she knows the lay of the land already.
I hate that the Democratic party anoints candidates in primaries. They did it with Clinton in 2016 and Biden in 2024. Let the people decide who becomes the Democratic candidate. If it's about who gets funded by the DNC for down ballot votes, divide the pot up equally among the primary candidates for federal offices.
