I appreciate that Jon Ossoff and Mark Kelley spoke out at the hearings about that fundraising post showing the flagged coffin of a US military person. They demanded an explanation. Every Senator and Congressperson should have been demanding that.
Since you mentioned D DAY I like to comment about this invasion by the US, British and other's forces. I like to suggest it took place NOT to end Hitler's war but actually to PREVENT the Soviet Army from continuing its march west after its take over of Berlin to finish off FRANCO's Nazi Spanish regime. The D of D DAY is actually for "deception" than anything else. This is why the Franco regime in Spain lasted until he finally died in his bed, protected by the USA, after decades of murderous spree killing thousands of progressives in Spain. That is actually the true legacy of "D Day". I'm in Vancouver, Canada.

Katie, which side we would fight on in WWII wasn’t clear until our ships were attacked at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. In fact prior to the Pearl Harbor attack, there was very strong support for the Germans in the U.S. We did end up on the side fighting against these facist countries but without Pearl Harbor, we may have sat the war out.
Roosevelt the US president, knew in advance of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor thanks to good spies, but he allowed it to happen in order to "convince" voters to enter a war that nobody wanted. He just made sure he left old junk ships to be sunk, while the good ones had sailed away before the attack.
I don't know where you're getting your "facts" from, but that is so untrue! The whole Pacific fleet was there & that's why the Japanese attacked. If that were true, 2403 people wouldn't have lost their lives that day.

Example, the long delay to conduct D DAY while Russians were decimated by 27 million deaths, is one.
....those 2403 deaths is one of the reasons why leaders have to do so many things in secret to stay in power, and defend their country. Putin in Russia also had to do many things to protect Russia, as well.
