Yesterday, Congressman Thomas Massie, perhaps the last Republican in the entire party with any guts, did something that should be routine in a functioning democracy.
Liddle Mikey is nothing but an empty vessel, a mouthpiece for Trump. There's no there there. That's why he was chosen: he was a worthless, unaccomplished backbencher with no training to be Speaker, which he essentially is not. He's just Trump's puppet.

You know how when you Google someone or something, that "People also ask" list comes up? The first item under "Mike Johnson" is "Is Mike Johnson loyal to Trump?" Duh.
As for his "constituents" (he really has only one, who lives in Florida), he ran unopposed in 2022 and won by 86% of the vote in 2023, when his opponent was another Republican. The district isn't just red, it's scarlet.
Congressman Thomas Massie is a rock star, saying the quiet part out loud: "Hegseth is a tool for Trump" and nothing more. Hegseth will have a reckoning coming lead by regular Americans who have had enough of this demented administration.
Thomas Massie has two things that will remain high points in his career: 1) he has and still stands with the Epstein survivors. He has personally listened to their stories and is still doing his best to pass the Epstein Transparency Act II. 2) trying to get kegsbreath impeached and I understand completely why he did it this way. Trump wanted voting for both Transparency II and the impeachment stopped and Maga mike GRINDR Johnson complied. Remember many months ago when trump announced he had two jobs, President and Speaker of the House? That was one of the few truths to spew from his mouth. Mike, I am glad you are still reporting about McConnell and the Tates. Dropping these stories is what they want us to do.
Tillis is leaving and still he voted for Todd Blanche. He could have gone out a hero but he didn't want to lose the money he could make after leaving congress.
Color me enraged at the Democrats. They reviewed his resume, saw he was ousted from both Vets for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America over allegations of severe financial mismanagement and alcoholism—yet they voted to confirm him anyway. Then, they sat idly by while he ordered a double-tap strike on that sinking Venezuelan vessel.

This is our biggest liability: attacking our own. You say you're engaged at "Democrats"? Then name the specific Democrats who voted to confirm Hegseth. Well, there were none. In fact three Republicans voted against him and JD Fancypants had to break the tie. If you are angry with A Democrat, you need to call that person out, not wreck the whole party and damage our changes for winning.
I've read the thread. You and others need to keep your eyes on the goal; taking back control of Congress. Nothing else matters until the new Congress is seated in January.
I think that act should have ended Hegseth's career immediately. This administration and this Congress are condoning murder. Cold-blooded, heartless murder. As the Commander-in-Chief of War Crimes, he also needs to take responsibility for the mass murder of the school children in Iran. That missile strike happened on his watch. At least pretend to show some iota of remorse.
I agree with what you wrote Mike. It's an embarrassment with the way the government is being run, or I should probably say, not being run. The more things go on, the more important it is to make sure to vote in November and vote more Democrats in to make a huge blue wave at the midterms. 💙💙🌊🌊
