Watching from Scottsdale, AZ. Would love to see more on how corrupt our SCOTUS is and why are we not marching in protest against their corruption? They have dismissed precedence, have made some major decisions on the shadow docket, taken gifts (bribes) without disclosure, lied during their confirmation hearings (ex, abortion rights), have made some major AWFUL decisions like Citizens United and that the President is immune (when all of the US motto was "no one is above the law"), etc. etc. VERY corrupt and yet little light or pressure is shone on them in the news or elsewhere.

I really agree with this! I've been telling people for a LONG time that if it wasn't FOR THOSE DIRTY 6, we wouldn't even BE HERE! >:()

I’ll build off Ramie Janis’ comment - I’d like to see someone dig into the proliferation of nonprofits. Back in the day when you heard about a nonprofit, you somehow immediately knew, or at least believed, that it was an organization designed for good, for helping, for lifting people up, etc. Now it seems like there is a nonprofit on every corner and so many hate-filled, far right wing groups are registered non-profits; often with the CEO raking in millions, if not billions of dollars.

I suppose when the laws and guidelines were first established, no one gave a thought to how the creation of nonprofits would be used for evil rather than good.

Imho, what we need is regulations. Republicans don't like that. THEY say it b/c they want freedom. I say that's BS. They want no regulations so that they can do rotten greedy things.

Totally agree. And that's another thing that began under Reagan. People don't understand how much damage he did to the future of America.

Joan Wiersma's avatar

Oh god I know!!! Too many don't have any idea of the damage that he was doing and still say that he was good. He was NOT! I try to remind them.

Trump is selling Saudi Arabia F 35 fighter jets. Saudi Arabia has close ties with China. Apparently there’s no concern for our technology following into the hands of China. Our technology and national security is up for sale to the highest bidder courtesy of Donald Trump

Mike, as a democratic strategist, are you telling our dem leaders to get out on the steps of the Capitol every day to call out the lies of the administration and repubs? Just look at Maga Mike, Mitch McConnell, etc. I've called and asked Schumer and Jeffries to do this, and while they have gone out more, it still doesn't compare to repub leadership when it comes to messaging

All of this great wealth divide started with the Reagan admin. Milt Friedman wrote a book where he argued that corporations only needed to be loyal to their top management and their shareholders. The stock market started to shoot up, CEO pay shot up, and the employees' wages stagnated. No more loyalty shown to employees, no matter how long they have worked for a company. Disgusting.

All pedophiles should be convicted and sent to prison.

Trump is a 34 Count Felon for sexual abuse and defamation. Not to mention that he's clearly demented. He needs to be impeached in accordance with the 25th amendment.

Trump is absolutely a pedophile. Look how he talks about his daughters.

I'm from Southern CA. Given that Trump always reacts with revenge and retribution it seems urgent to me that Trump be removed from office (25th amendment) as he's already been itching to start a war with Venezuela, shown far too much interest in Russia and China, I do think it likely that he'll pardon Maxwell as bribery, and in my opinion she should already have arranged for some good protection,

The thing about the soybean farmers? TRUMP DID THE VERY SAME FUCKING THING TO THEM IN HIS FIRST TERM AND THEY VOTED FOR HIM AGAIN! He had to bail them out last time and they were like “Hey, we aren’t looking for a handout, we want our soybean contracts!”

Mr. Ali, I have wondered the same thing -- that why, when these corrupt repubs dodge a bullet, that they come back out from under their rock to proactively lie again (Mike Flynn is my example). Thanks for offering an explanation, because I have been just as floored by this as you.

Alan Dershowitz is just using the Roy Cohn method. Deny, deny, deny and attack, attack, attack.
