Hey folks,
I went on NewsNation to talk about what’s actually driving the political conversation right now, and it’s pretty simple: people are struggling, and Donald Trump isn’t delivering on the promises he made. He said he’d lower costs and keep us out of another war. Instead, prices are still high, and we’re watching another conflict unfold overseas.
That’s why all the chatter about cabinet shakeups or staffing changes misses the point. Swapping out personnel doesn’t matter if there’s no real plan to make life more affordable. For most Americans, this isn’t theoretical—it’s whether they can pay for groceries, cover healthcare, or just get through the month without falling behind.
And politically, that creates a real opening. When Republicans are focused on tax cuts and foreign conflicts while saying we “can’t afford” things like childcare or healthcare, voters notice. But Democrats still have to meet the moment—we can’t just point out the failures, we have to offer a clear alternative that actually improves people’s lives.
