I am a native Californian. I love Gavin Newsom. He is protecting his citizens as well as he can from trump’s fascist regime. But I do not think he’s electable as president, because both he and California have been vilified so long by the republicans. It’s a lot like Hillary Clinton. I never thought she was electable for the same reason. When the negative people spend years poisoning your well, you cannot be elected president. I would love for him to stay governor of California, but, unfortunately, we have term limits here now. Loss of institutional knowledge and creativity.
Another name to throw out there: Sen. Mark Kelly. Think about it. Swing-state, a hero, smart. This charisma BS is way overrated. He will have to decide whether to run again in Arizona or go big.
