Well, today I saw MTG on The View (Nov 4) As I’m sure you know The View is very left and MTG is MAGA. First, I have to give her kudos for coming on to a show so opposite of what they believe in—she said she was criticised by “Weak Republican Men” (she wouldn’t name names but we probably all know who they are) for coming on—and when asked if she thought Mike Johnson should come on she said “Absolutely!!” She also spoke about the Epstein files. She also said that, as a woman, she could not vote for Cuomo. When pressed, she said she’d vote for the Republican (who, let’s face it, is a vote for Mamdani at this point) This was a very objective, kind and respectful meeting. Now—I’m not gullible and I’d have to see this behavior for at least a year before I could even think of trusting it. I go by the Maya Angelou statement that “when someone tells you who they are the first time, believe them.” But this is worth watching—I imagine it’ll be up on YouTube at some point.
Great takes on MTG, Miller feeding Trump 'facts', journalists not fact checking, and the possibility of single payer. The jokes are especially appreciated in this dark time. Perhaps the Republicans burning it all down allows for a Rocky but fresh start by learning from the errors (assuming Congress learns anything).
