He's still Mitching in action. Beshear needs to appoint a Democrat to fill the seat NOW and let the Republicans prove MM is still with us and with it or not.
I believe that Kentucky ended the power of the Governor to appoint a replacement. Only special election can fill the sit when vacant. But one less vote for the the republican agenda is an improvement and makes getting stuff done harder for the thugs in power.
He never had any power to appoint anyone to fill a seat that isn't vacant — and this one isn't, whatever you may think about the state of McConnell's health.
Thanks for checking me, shows you read and comprehend it. You are correct and I was aware of that clever Mitch McConnell lead move to take the appointment power from the governor, but who cares? I'll bet you could think of one or two times that this administration has skirted the law (Epstein Files Transparency Act, in violation of this one since December 2025, perhaps?). And it would just bring the situation to a head so that they would have to admit the obvious.
The three pillars are rotting from the top down, like a fish. The rotting fish stink is symbolic of the corruption that has permeated the halls of Congress, the chambers of the Supreme Court, and the executive office.
The first thing a democrat president should do is have the IRS, DOJ and FBI investigate the Supreme Court.
Where does it say in the constitution that they are immune to investigations or its consequences ?
Reform this corrupted court and adding 4 more justices should be first on their to do list. Right after instructing attack dogs to investigate the Trump crime family.
You are 100% spot on Mike, if this was Democrat Senator, Republicans would be having a fit. Beshear needs to do more than send letters, appoint someone or call a special election and let the chips fall where they may as the Republicans would definitely do that.
Well, at least Andy Beshear wrote a strongly worded letter today, saying that if Mitch didn't respond, he would forward his strongly worded letter to his staff and to the Senate majority leader.
Do you even know what the role of the "strongly worded letter' we kept ridiculing is? Honestly, our side needs more education and less groundless impatience.
I'm P.O.'d about this, and I'm really P.O.'d that Andy Beshear is not taking action (writing a letter just does not cut it). This is the main reason Republicans get away with with all their B.S.
Want to know where Mitch is? Ask the smart ass Rand Paul. But be careful - he will claim the FIFTH! Like Rand was bitching about Fauci using. Guess he is really stupid and did not do his homework about how many times Trump has used the FIFTH! (And remember Rand is one of the Republicans who bends over every time Donnie comes calling and says yes Donnie whatever you want). So - ASK RAND, but watch out......he will plead the FIFTH!

He cannot do this. We need to stop NOW and get some reality in our sights.
Bret Kavanaugh’s mortgage was also paid off.

a "democrat" president? No. We'd be better off with a Democratic congress reforming the Supreme Court.
Whatever it takes to reform that court. IMHO 18 year term limits isn’t nearly enough.
Enough of these assholes into their 80’s and 90’s in Congress and on the SCOTUS regardless of their political affiliation!

What are the consequences of this man’s behavior? I’m tired of seeing rhetoric.
Um, with Waldo?
I thought you were talking about me. I'm right here. That other Mitch; who cares?

These people will cover up for each other for years. Mitch is probably on life support in some rehab facility
I crack up every time you say Todd

There is no action he can take with a seat that is currently filled — none whatsoever.
Yes to all of it plus!
It costs 2 billion a day if you want the truth
