Winning in 2028 will not ensure anything for Democrats. The GOP will spend 2029-2032 obstructing Democrats and then in 2032, the American electorate, which will be just as stupid, ignorant, and poorly informed as they are today, will very likely put a Republican in the White House. Nothing will get better until and unless the electorate improves and I see zero chance of that happening. Americans care more about sports teams than they do about democracy. One indication of that is they spend far more time rooting than they do informing themselves. I don't expect to be alive in 2032, and maybe, given an incumbent's advantage, Dems could keep the presidency in '32, but that will just put it off until 2036.
