The extradition papers for Andrew and Tristan Tate finally dropped, and the accusations against the manosphere influencers with deep ties to Donald Trump's family and administration are horrifying.
These men are human traffickers. They are child porn peddlers. They are abusers of women and kids. The accusations include sexually abusing animals, sexually abusing minors, selling sexually explicit material of minors over WhatsApp, and a long list of other heinous crimes. They should be locked away for a very long time.
It's unbelievable to me that after a decade of this, these two still haven't been thrown in jail. But it shows exactly how the current system works for people with money and power: if you're wealthy enough, connected enough, and influential enough with the right group of people, you can keep outrunning justice and can get away with it. The Tate brothers were taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in July, and more than two months later, they’re still here desperately trying to rattle their way out of facing extradition to the UK.
We've seen it with the Tate brothers. We've seen it with Epstein. Epstein was investigated in 2005, only to weasel his way into a sweetheart plea deal and secret non-prosecution agreement that protected him and his co-conspirators — buying him another decade to traffic and abuse and maybe even kill children before federal prosecutors finally came after him again. An entire decade. And to this day, we still don’t even publicly know the identities of everyone who was protected. We saw it with the Wall Street financial crimes of 2008. We've seen it time and time again.
Power buys access. Access buys protection. And protection buys time. Hell, on any given day I wouldn't be surprised if Donald Trump decided to pardon Diddy or Russell Brand or Harvey Weinstein, given how many horrible people he's already let loose by abusing the pardon power the Constitution gives him.
It's maddening. So I'm writing today to repeat my call: every member of Donald Trump's family, every member of his administration, and every Republican influencer, member of Congress, and staffer who manipulated our criminal justice and political systems to give the Tate brothers sanctuary in the United States, so they could shield themselves from the crimes they're accused of in Europe and elsewhere, should be thoroughly investigated by Congress.
That includes Trump's kids, like Don Jr. and Barron. And these relationships go back years. Tate was messaging with Don Jr. and bragging about having access to the president's son long before Trump returned to office. Barron in particular has a close relationship with Andrew Tate, who he took dating advice from. During the 2024 campaign, one of Tate's closest associates got into Mar-a-Lago and helped cultivate a relationship between Tate and Barron. It includes administration officials like Paul Ingrassia, who had to withdraw a Senate-confirmable nomination after text messages surfaced in which he talked about having a Nazi streak. It includes Alina Habba, who went on Benny Johnson's podcast with Andrew Tate and told him, “I'm a big fan,” “I admire what you're doing,” and, incredibly, “If you're in the States, I got your back”. These are people with proximity to power: to the president and the United States government.
And Tate himself seemed to understand exactly what those relationships could mean for him. While he was still stuck in Romania, he posted after Trump's return to power: “The Tates will be free, Trump is the president.” Two weeks later, Romania lifted the brothers' travel ban and they flew to the United States.
I want to know the depth of the depravity that made these people think it was appropriate to bring these scumbags to the United States. I want to know how the Tates got one of MAGA's most infamous lawyers to go work for them. And I want to know what role Mar-a-Lago has played in all of this, because these connections keep leading back there. Joe McBride, the Tates’ longtime lawyer and a scumbag in his own right, was at Mar-a-Lago when Trump launched his 2024 presidential campaign. Think about that.
And I want to know just how close they've come to being saved from extradition, McBride has been actively lobbying on their behalf, going back to Mar-a-Lago, meeting with Trump administration officials, and desperately trying to get Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, or somebody else in that family or administration to stop the Tate brothers from being extradited to the UK to finally face their crimes.
If this isn’t an attempt to influence and corrupt the government of the United States, I don’t know what is.
So far, as far as I can tell, Todd Blanche and the Trump DOJ have done the right thing in the extradition process. They fought the brothers' bail. They're moving forward, however slowly.

But let me be clear: I’m not giving them a fucking medal for it. I don’t believe these people suddenly discovered a moral compass. And I can’t help wondering whether, if the British government weren’t demanding the Tates back to face charges there, this DOJ would be doing anything at all. After everything we’ve watched them bury, deflect, and refuse to seriously pursue around Epstein, why should I assume otherwise? Frankly, shipping the Tate brothers off to Britain may be the easiest option they have. Let somebody else’s government deal with them. Get them out of the United States. Get the story away from Trump, his family, and the people around him. Make this somebody else’s scandal.
Maybe I’m too cynical. But Todd Blanche was Donald Trump’s personal criminal defense lawyer before he became Attorney General. So no, I’m not going to assume that doing the right thing here means they’re doing it for the right reasons.
But none of that means the outcome is guaranteed. It only takes one person with enough power to step in and Marco Rubio has the power to save the Tate brothers and block their extradition. And after everything we’ve watched over the last decade, and especially everything we’ve witnessed this administration corrupt in our country in the last year and a half, I would never, ever bet against these people doing the wrong thing.
That’s why it’s time for Congress, and eventually a sane, Democratic-run Department of Justice, to get serious about holding these people accountable. We can’t keep letting this happen. They abused our government to bring accused human traffickers here because those traffickers endorsed Donald Trump, said nice things about him on the internet, and were friends with the president’s kids.
And now they’ve all gone quiet as church mice. But there are MAGA influencers complicit in this. There are government officials complicit in this. There are Trump family members complicit in this. We have to know the truth. At a bare minimum, the public needs to understand what happened here, because it’s emblematic of the much bigger problem.
And here’s the part I don’t want anyone to lose sight of. Were these people focused on making things less expensive? On helping you buy a house? On ending this war, moving the country forward, or solving any of the many challenges making your life worse and stripping you of your dignity? No. They were too busy doing stupid shit like this. They were too busy getting their friends out of Romania. They were too busy pardoning crooks who’ll put money in Donald Trump’s back pocket. They were too busy selling out America’s national security to foreign governments so Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump could build a private, Epstein-style island off the coast of Albania. This is what they’re using their power for.
That’s why I’m so laser-focused on the Tate brothers, and on Trump’s corruption more broadly. Because the more you look at what happened with the Tates, the more you see the same corruption that runs through everything else Trump and the people around him touch. And it helps explain why nothing is getting done in Washington. They’re focused on: self-enrichment, self-indulgence, self-dealing, corruption. All of it. They’re so focused on feeding their basest interests, stealing from the American taxpayer, and lining their own pockets that they don’t care what crimes their friends commit. They’re blinded by proximity to power, influence, and money. It has to stop.
I need the Democratic Party to be ready to take this seriously when we take back Congress. Not with another strongly worded letter. Not with another hearing where everyone gets five minutes to make a viral clip. But with subpoenas, testimony, unredacted documents, and names. The American people are owed real answers and real accountability. And I’m looking forward to watching Barron Trump testify under oath, in public, about his relationship with the Tate brothers and what he knew about their horrendous crimes — and what he or anyone around Donald Trump did to help them.
