Mitch McConnell Was Supposed to Return Today. He Didn’t.

Power survives when nobody asks questions. Corruption survives when everyone moves on. Endless Urgency exists to do the opposite: demand transparency, follow the story when the powerful want it buried, and hold Democrats, Republicans, billionaires, institutions, and the media accountable. If you believe independent media should keep asking the uncomfortable questions, become a paid subscriber. Your $8/month helps us chase the truth wherever it leads:

Hey folks,

Mitch McConnell was supposed to return to the Senate. He didn’t show up.

After more than three months out of public view, his staff still won’t give the American people straight answers—and almost everyone in Washington seems content to move on. I’m not. Because this is bigger than Mitch McConnell. It’s about transparency, accountability, gerontocracy, and a political system that protects its own.

  • [00:00:31] McConnell doesn’t show—and the promised return to Washington falls apart

  • [00:02:47] Why does nobody in Congress seem willing to demand real answers?

  • [00:05:14] Term limits, age limits, and the transparency laws our government desperately needs

  • [00:07:43] This isn’t partisan: Washington has a much bigger accountability problem

  • [00:09:13] Why independent media has to keep chasing stories the establishment would rather abandon

This episode gets at the heart of why we’re building Endless Urgency. A sitting senator can disappear from public view for months, his staff can dodge basic questions, and Washington can keep functioning like the public isn’t entitled to answers. Whether we’re talking about McConnell, the Epstein files, Trump’s health, corruption, or any other story powerful people would prefer disappear, our job is to stay on it. To ask. To investigate. To refuse to move on. If you value independent media that demands transparency and accountability no matter who is in power, help me keep building it.
