Seattle. Meme: Detention centers are FREE HOUSING for immigrants. $45 billion is more than Repubs have ever done for humanity even if its just to replace the lost million prisoners in the USA.
The point is to have the Dems make the base of the Repubs go against the policy of detaining them even if it is a prison. Cruelty is the point of the GOP and pointing out our view of it is only going to make them happy.
I started to listen to Mike Nellis about a month ago and I am loving what he is saying and doing. I am offended by Joe Walsh - he does not have to swear as much as he does. His message is good, minus the swearing.
Perhaps you might want to reconsider or rephrase. I'm a retiree and social security covers about 25% of my monthly expenses. Dividends and some capital gains fund the rest. My house is paid for and I drive an 18.5 year old car. I pay plenty of taxes already and I doubt I fit your category of "the rich."
But if you are living what sounds like a moderate lifestyle, why do you worry about "tax the rich"? We're talking about people making a million + a year. Some of them, millions every month!
I'm not worried. As I noted, you did not define "rich" in your original post. There remains a good amount of redistribute income desire among elements of the far left.
Now is our moment—tomorrow take action against this harmful government. They are:
Covering up a pedophile ring.
Ignoring court orders.
Spreading corruption.
The poor, the needy, and children are being abused—by our government. Healthcare, already a broken system, was canceled for 13 million. Take to the streets!
We must protest outright crooks and the pedophiles. They will start shooting us. Untrained ICE agents will shoot us. Protest until we go down or we oust these tyrants.
I made 54 protest signs to aid protest groups. I will make many more to share. You will see something different in these signs! Help yourself to this second batch, and share them as far as you can.
I’m glad you’re a Democrat too, Joe Walsh! We need people like you—who tell it like it is, speaks to the moment, holds people accountable, listens and relates. I’m a lifelong Democrat, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t extremely frustrated with the party. Yes, I do feel that many Dems “talk down.” Yes, we need to be a big tent. Yes, I think some Dems need to be booted. And, to be fair, I do think Kamala was restricted by her party—the one I saw t the convention was very, very different from the one I saw in late Sept/early October when it frankly looked like a 2020 Biden Campaign. BUT she needed to be on Rogan, needed to be everywhere and not be afraid. And she needed to listen and relate to people—and maybe if she had been on Rogan and others—not just The View and 60 Minutes (which i don’t even know if people watch anymore) maybe—just maybe—we wouldn’t have kept hearing people say they don’t know her.I also listened to a podcast in October where a lot of young men said EXACTLY why they were voting for Trump. Mike said it clearly—imen have been programmed to be the provider, the protector. Now they aren’t doing well at all—and are frustrated. And THAT podcast is when i knew we wouldn’t win in 2024.
First, it pisses me off that folks can't seem to separate Social Security which everyday folks like me have paid into the Social Security Trust Fund which is where my monthly check comes from. It wouldn't being depleted if Congress would stop "borrowing" from the trust fund and if Congress would repay what they have already borrowed, THEN the trust fund would be solvent. Then folks like me and my husband, would NOT be looking at having our checks cut back or even stopped down the road because the trust fund is running out of money.
What we need to do is hit home about is how HCA, Ascension, and other multi-conglomerates medical providers and the insurance industry are jacking up prices, making mega bucks off of Medicare and Medicaid. AND, folks like me are paying for it. Our house is paid for, are cars are paid for, we're debt free, our only bills are utilities, gas and food, we're living nicely until one of us has a medical problem and the bills start rolling in. And yes were gong to have medical problems, we're 72 and 70 while we're healthy, eat right, exercise, take care of ourselves, we're are going to at some point need Medicare to kick in. But just look at just one itemized bill for just a 24 hour hospital stay. IT IS OUTRAGOUS! Then their is the doctor(s) bills,, the lab fees, x-ray/imaging costs. . . it just isn't right.
HEY IS ANYONE LISTENING, DOES ANY ONE ACTUALLY READ THESE COMMENTS? HELLO!!!
Thanks I've been recovering since 2000. I just couldn't vote for Bush jr I had just moved to a state where you could vote as an independent from there I first voted as a Dem to vote for Bernie. My hardcore Republican family is now all Democrats do to the horrible things the Republicans are doing.
Really like you guys and so appreciate you both and agreeing with most of what you are discussing.... I may be old fashioned. ...but is it necessary to swear and cuss so much.. there are other ways to efficiently get your points across. I know you are both super passionate about the issues and maybe it all comes out in cussing???
I agree that we must improve Medicare/Medicaid because we live longer. I'm a Baby Boomer, and I can understand my friends in their 30s who pay into the SS system and Medicare, who don't think it will be their first time.
If we just quit paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for military toilets, etc. the military wouldn't be spending so much money. When you talk about cutting Social Security and Medicare maybe think about taking more money from the wealthy instead of cutting things. You do need to reform the insurance companies because that is the reason Medicare payments are so high.
Trump is dangerous and it's getting worse by the day.
Seattle. Meme: Detention centers are FREE HOUSING for immigrants. $45 billion is more than Repubs have ever done for humanity even if its just to replace the lost million prisoners in the USA.
What about the innocent people swept up in the ICE raids and how terribly these people are being treated in this FREE HOUSING?
The point is to have the Dems make the base of the Repubs go against the policy of detaining them even if it is a prison. Cruelty is the point of the GOP and pointing out our view of it is only going to make them happy.
I am with you on Ukraine we need to support them they have been incredibly brave

When I was a democratic Committe person knocking doors, you had to abandon every script and just say hello and who are you
Tax the rich. Tax capital gains tax dividends.

Good show Joe welcome to the recovering Republicans section of the democratic party
Now that is a wonderful way to put it! Recovering Republicans-- hey, you could start a coffee group on Saturday mornings...
Thanks I've been recovering since 2000. I just couldn't vote for Bush jr I had just moved to a state where you could vote as an independent from there I first voted as a Dem to vote for Bernie. My hardcore Republican family is now all Democrats do to the horrible things the Republicans are doing.
Oh, if only they'd let Bernie in! We wouldn't be in the mess we're in.
Really like you guys and so appreciate you both and agreeing with most of what you are discussing.... My wise Grandmother claimed that people who swear a lot, do so because of
Weak minds!!
If we raised the threshold on how much people would have to pay into Social Security, the problem would be solved.
I agree that we must improve Medicare/Medicaid because we live longer. I'm a Baby Boomer, and I can understand my friends in their 30s who pay into the SS system and Medicare, who don't think it will be their first time.
I’m listening from Santa Cruz CA a very liberal community.
No Mike, you are wrong about Boomers. We are not okay at all.
