It’s ridiculous. Chicago isn’t even considered the most dangerous city in Illinois.

Please don't. Been there, done that. I drive thru all the time and never once felt threatened.

How about we dont deploy the troops to ANY city unless local city government asks for help.

The gerrymander fight is on. There is a new playbook. The old rules have been struck down by the Supreme Court. We need to change the gears here as fast as possible for deadly preemptive strikes. Newsom has moved out on this already. Who is next? Hochul. Where are you? Ptitzker. What are you doing?

Look, we have been under a dictator/fascist since Trump was inaugurated. It is said that the populace of the USA is just opening their eyes to how dangerous Trump and his regime are! And our Republican legislative branches and the conservative judicial branch are letting Trump do what he wants. So hopefully, if we have a midterm election, everyone in the populace will vote BLUE and not any other color.

Two of the three states with the highest murder rates are Mississippi and Louisiana. The governor of Mississippi has sent troops to Washington CC to help out there.

Two of the cities with the highest crime rates are St. Louis misery and Memphis Tennessee -- both firmly red states.

Governor puddingboots of Florida claims that they don't have enough representation in Congress, and it's all Biden's fault. The only problem is that the last census was conducted under Trump.

One begins to sense a pattern here. Maybe it's spelled Epstein Epstein Epstein.

I have to point out this is incorrect /misleading about St. Louis crime rates. We are actually in the middle of the pack. Those crime stat lists only count the small portion of the city, not the metro area.

Some rankings on St. Louis crime might be misleading. Why? https://share.google/9T8ND4NuHriFopn2o

And St. Louis is primarily Democrat, not republican. The non city areas are mostly republican to make the state overall republican. And so unfortunately we are stuck with a republican governor and his terrible leadership.

Please keep in your forebrains: The military KNOW they don’t belong on the nations’ streets — they firmly understand that their mandate is and has always been to protect the US from foreign entities.

I am an (old) Army brat who after graduating hs married her soulmate, a VietNam drafted vet, who on leaving the Army as a captain after four years, was immediately invited to join a trial internship with DOA.

Ultimately, my husband died of completely metastasized cancer in every organ and bone, due to Agent Orange which lurcked for 46 tears until he retired from DOD! And then consumed him quickly.

I haven’t served in the military, but have 70 years —0 my lifetime — spent as an adjunct, and I know in my bones, except from military Trumpers, that the professionals in the military and the civilian support services understand their mandates and are not on the streets of our cities by choice, but by command.

The National Guard bears that onus.

That the US Military’s commander in chief is a jackbooted fascist is a whole new topic!

But counsel your criticisms in just facts.

It was so GREAT to hear Mallory McMorrow actually make the statement SO NEEDED TO HEAR, trump is spending OUR TAX DOLLARS ON ICE IDIOTS. He is taking away funding to LOCAL POLICE and coming with ICE, FBI and National Guard. We need to have this said everyday "OUR TAX DOLLARS"

WHAT WE NEED TO DO AND VOTE THIS NOVEMBER SO THAT DEMOCRATS CAN VOTE AND STOP THE IDIOTS IN THE HOUSE AND CONGRESS.

The voters in New York City made their voices heard and the Dem leadership is backing a man who has been accused of sexual harassment. They have not been active and vocal against the fascism happening in our country. They need to make room for younger voices who will stand up and be active!!! I say that as a 74 year old woman who has been a democrat since I registered to vote in 1971.

I believe it's trust. I, personally, from Montana, don't trust politicians in general, especially the Republican party. I don't feel democrats are doing their jobs, standing up to this unlawful administration. No means NO. ITS DREADFUL
