Trump’s CBS “Confession” Should Be the Biggest Story in America
Imagine if Joe Biden admitted to selling pardons like this.
Without a doubt, the biggest story in the country today should be Donald Trump admitting on CBS last night that he has no idea who he’s pardoning. He let a convicted crypto fraudster walk free and then, on national television, straight-up said he only did it because his sons told him to. Let that sink in.
Can you imagine the reaction if Joe Biden said he pardoned someone because Hunter told him to? If Biden blindly freed a scammer based solely on his son’s recommendation — no due diligence, no second thought — conservative media would be frothing at the mouth. Republicans would launch twenty investigations before lunch. But with Trump? Shrugs. Silence from the MAGA influencers.
Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a Freudian slip. It wasn’t a mistake. It was a confession. Trump freed a crypto kingpin who pled guilty to fraud — just like he pardoned cop-beaters from January 6th, just like he pardoned drug dealers, sex offenders, and white-collar crooks — because he’s likely getting paid, one way or another, in this massive corruption scheme.
This crypto guy didn’t get pardoned for fun. He got out because Trump’s kids are knee-deep in the same crypto scam, raking in billions. To Trump and his inner circle, the presidency isn’t a job or a responsibility. It’s a money pipeline. And by admitting he doesn’t even know who he’s pardoning, Trump’s telling us exactly who he is: a puppet for profit, a vessel for other people’s corruption.
At this point, the federal government looks like an organized crime unit. Like a stupid version of the Godfather. And yeah, there was corruption before Trump, and there’ll be corruption after. We’ve gotta root it out in both parties. But right now? This is a billionaire protection racket, run by a man who sells pardons like party favors.
How else do you think George Santos got out a few weeks ago? You think Trump did that out of the kindness of his heart? Hell no. He’s still teasing whether to release Diddy — and the only reason he hasn’t is probably because Diddy hasn’t cut him a big enough check yet.
And I’m furious. I wish I was numb, but I’m not. I’m angry. And honestly, I’m glad I still feel that way. Because it’s not just about the pardons.
I watched the rest of that CBS interview — heavily edited, by the way, the same kind of editing Republicans lose their minds over when it’s done to Democrats. But Trump? He’s still pretending inflation doesn’t exist. Still waving around a mythical health care plan he’s been promising since 2015.
Meanwhile, people are barely hanging on. The job market’s in the gutter. Prices are surging. The economy’s weak. Eighty percent of Americans are struggling.
And what’s Trump doing? Running scams. Pardoning criminals. Ripping up parts of the White House so he can build a damn ballroom for himself. He’s turned the presidency into a playground for corrupt billionaires. It’s obscene.
And for himself? 60% of his net worth has come in just the last ten months since taking office. Meanwhile, regular people can’t cover rent, groceries, childcare. Vacations? Forget it.
And here’s the thing Democrats screw up all the time: they frame everything around survival. But people want to thrive. People are exhausted from living paycheck to paycheck. They want to live their lives, support their kids, and give them more than just the basics.
Instead, we’ve got a president telling people to buy fewer presents for their kids while he’s throwing a Great Gatsby–themed party at the White House this weekend — with actual flappers in champagne glasses — while the rest of us watch from the sidelines.
Then he goes on 60 Minutes and brags about pardoning someone he’s never heard of. Talks up a health care plan that doesn’t exist. Lies about grocery prices being lower than they were ten months ago. Anyone managing a household budget knows better. Everything’s more expensive, paychecks don’t stretch, and people are drowning.
Trump’s a skilled liar, but he can’t gaslight people about the cost of living. This is daily reality for millions. And Democrats learned that the hard way last cycle. Now it’s Trump’s turn — tomorrow, in New Jersey, Virginia, and beyond. And again in two years, when voters boot the GOP from power.
Meanwhile, Mike Johnson and House Republicans haven’t worked in 45 days. Nothing to lower grocery prices, nothing to help you buy a home, nothing to stop the shutdown. Nothing. You or I skipped work for 45 days, we’d be fired.
And now the polling is catching up. CNN’s latest today has Trump at 37% approval, 67% disapproval. The con is unraveling. People are pissed. Republicans are hedging. They’re scared.
That’s why they’re gerrymandering the hell out of every red state — trying to squeeze out a few more votes before the blue wave crashes. That’s why Marjorie Taylor Greene is breaking ranks. She’s going on The View, of all places, to talk about how Republicans have no health care plan and how Trump’s wrecking the economy.
You think she’s doing that out of some moral awakening? Come on. She’s seen the polling. She knows Trump’s toxic. And she’s trying to get ahead of the fallout — while the rest of them are too scared to piss off their base, too cowardly to even show up to work, while 40 million Americans can’t access their SNAP benefits.
A lot of people gave Trump a shot at the start of this term. Even if they didn’t like him, they hoped he’d deliver. They needed him to help with basic economic survival. But now? He’s done the exact opposite—everything is worse.
People aren’t apathetic anymore. They’re angry. They’re in the streets, screaming no kings, fed up with being lied to, stolen from, ignored by a government that doesn’t work for them.
This isn’t left vs. right anymore. It’s us vs. the people trying to sell off the country like it’s their personal yard sale. And I’ll be damned if we forever hand the People’s House to a man who treats it like a luxury resort for the ultra-rich — on our dime.

Where were the follow up questions last night? She let him get away with so many lies. I am fed up with CBS. It's no longer a news station - it is as bad as Fox. I have watched my last 60 minutes. What a sham. She just gave him an outlet for outlandish lies and false statements. I wish all reporters would refuse to question him. Refuse to pay attention to him. Write about him but no more interviews. HIs strangled ego loves reporters gathered around him. Deny him that.
