Where were the follow up questions last night? She let him get away with so many lies. I am fed up with CBS. It's no longer a news station - it is as bad as Fox. I have watched my last 60 minutes. What a sham. She just gave him an outlet for outlandish lies and false statements. I wish all reporters would refuse to question him. Refuse to pay attention to him. Write about him but no more interviews. HIs strangled ego loves reporters gathered around him. Deny him that.

What a shame to see another formerly good network slip down with the likes of Fox, they will lose this patron, along with their integrity.

The former head of CBS Les Moonves said that "he's great for ratings." That's all the corporate media morons care about. With a functioning press, that idiot would have never been elected.

Come on, he NEVER gets follow up questions, especially from those that have already capitulated to his demands! But, hope springs eternal, I guess!

Agree Patricia. Same thing last week or the week before when one of the men on 60 minutes let the Gov. of Utah walk all over him with lies about how he loved to work with the Dems and come to many agreements. Sure, as long as they are his side of the agreements. Not one challenge or follow up question from the reporter. Where is Dan Rather when we need him? A tough, aggressive and no BS reporter.

Also agree that no reporter should ever interview DT. It is the same lies repeated again and again. Why bother. They should end every news item about DT with "This event brought to you by our convicted felon and rapist-in-chief". He can't change that truth and should be tagged with it for the rest of his life. Harris had the opportunity and credibility to "re-prosecute" this monster before the election and should have.

She should have gone after the "so called Christians", GOP, independents and anyone backing this criminal and embarrassed them about their support. To late now!

There could have been follow up questions. The interview was nearly twice as long as the aired portions.

Awesome post. This is the battle-- the people vs the ultra-wealthy elite. And look who those ultra-wealthy elite have lined up behind-- Trump and R's. They're buying pardons, buying government favors by donating to demolish the people's house, and buying power by getting positions in government. It absolutely needs to be the story, and needs to carry this narrative. Dems, despite the protests of some loud purity-testers, have largely been fighting this battle against ultra-wealthy elite power for a long time. Need to lean into this fight.

Only slight disagreement is that Dems have been messaging thriving vs surviving for a while. One of VP Harris's key slogans was to "create an economy where people don't just get by, but get ahead." Biden emphasized how infrastructure and CHIPs act would create high paying jobs mostly for people w/o college degrees. And they've all pretty relentlessly supported unions, which, when utilized without corruption, are one of the key ways to have people thrive instead of survive.

Terrific post, Mike. Thank you.

Biden stood on a union picket line. Here in MI, still have fair amount of auto union jobs. However, for the 1st time, Trump won MI.

Trump accuses Biden of dereliction of duty in using an autopen, it appears that Trump is in dereliction his duties using an autobrain. When he is not heavily scripted and managed by the Heritage Foundation, he will free range in a kaleidoscopic discharge of total lies and fantasies while pinballing streams of consciousness that collide with each other resulting in thought salads of pure confusion.

Yet despite these quite obvious and serious crevasses of cognitive voids, we entrust this man to be leader of the free world?? If ever there was a question of the emperor's new clothes, we are staring at this butt naked imbecile, disbelieving that the majority of the GOP Congress continues to capitulate to his derangement and dementia.

I couldn’t bear to watch - I hate his voice (and all the misinformation and lies he pumps out without stopping) I hate his poochy mouth when he talks, like he wants to charge listeners by the way to word, and how RUDE he is in conversation- he didn’t listen to a word Nora said and kept interrupting her like she didn’t matter.

And now he’s going to pay SOME aid they decided to deny half of the $ that users of SNAP are supposed to get. And the court ruled today that the administration is OWED to those people. And they airily stated that it “would take some time to get it out to them.” What a group of incompetent fools! If they gave a damn about those users they’d stay up and work to get checks out by Friday. But they obviously don’t give a damn for anyone not RICH and WHITE.

People should remember that Gatsby in the book was a major-league criminal - that's how he got rich less than 4 years after his WW1 service! Trump & all his ilk admire that kind of thing.

And thanks to Machiavellian Mitch McConnell blocking Obama's right to appoint a Justice, then his ramming through Trump's appointment of Coney Barrett...in addition to all the spineless, sycophantic Senators approving Kavanaugh (and blocking a thorough FBI background check). And SCOTUS not having any Ethics rules...that would allow us to get rid of Thomas and Alito.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I cannot understand how even the most racist and misogynistic Americans decided to vote for Trump a second or third time. Apparently they forget about the nearly a million fellow Americans lost by his disastrous leadership during the coronavirus pandemic. And the rehearsal insurrection on January 6, 2021. How could you watch the Capitol being stormed, gallows raised, Mike Pence threatened to be lynched, and decide that was okay? Trump is the president of mega billionaires not MAGA. No policy that has been implemented in his second term has benefited regular Americans. But it's difficult for the rest of us to take satisfaction in knowing that we were right and MAGA was wrong when we all will end up going down with the ship while Trump and his sycophants helicopter to safety.

Where is our Democratic leadership???!!! We all know Trump is horrible and destroying this country. But we won't get anywhere and we won't get him out of office unless the Democrats get their shit together. We need a leader, we need a plan, we need a cohesive message (like saving the middle class for starters).
