They're buying pardons, buying government favors by donating to demolish the people's house, and buying power by getting positions in government. Only slight disagreement is that Dems have been messaging thriving vs surviving for a while. One of VP Harris's key slogans was to "create an economy where people don't just get by, but get ahead." Biden emphasized how infrastructure and CHIPs act would create high paying jobs mostly for people w/o college degrees. And they've all pretty relentlessly supported unions, which, when utilized without corruption, are one of the key ways to have people thrive instead of survive.
