Hey folks,
I went on Newsmax to talk about Trump’s latest rhetoric on Iran, and I think it’s important to cut through the noise here. When a president openly talks about targeting civilian infrastructure—bridges, power plants, entire systems that people rely on to live—that’s not just tough talk. That’s the kind of language that risks pulling us into something far more dangerous than most Americans want.
What really stuck with me in that exchange is how quickly some people try to normalize it. The idea that this is just “how war works” ignores both the human cost and the long-term consequences. Most Americans don’t want another endless conflict, especially one that puts our troops in harm’s way without a clear, credible strategy behind it.
And politically, there’s a bigger story unfolding. Voters are frustrated—about the economy, about costs, about leadership that feels disconnected from reality. Democrats don’t win by just opposing Trump; we win by offering something real in return. That means focusing on affordability, competence, and actually delivering for working people.
There’s a lot at stake right now—both abroad and here at home. And if we’re not honest about what’s happening, we’re going to keep repeating the same mistakes.
