I continue to believe it’s wrong to make fun of red voters who just wanted to be able to afford life for their family and now feel betrayed by Trump.

Reach back out. Rebuild. Don’t let MAGA kill your empathy permanently

It’s hard to be empathetic to people who blindly follow a stark raving mad person.

Totally. But i think we all assume everyone else is getting the same news and same info we have — and it’s just not the case.

And if you need a more cynical case for it: never reaching back out is a pretty good way to limit dems path back to the White House

Worth thinking about at the very least is all I’d ask

Sure.

I’m a little remote coming from Australia.

The people here who are pro Trump are a minority who are largely conspiracy theorists, the far right ( including neo Nazis), climate change deniers and those who want to wind back our successful gun laws.

When I try to discuss matters calmly and respectfully they usually say that they don’t care what I say and believe what they believe and most then follow with personal abuse.

I would have to say that I don’t wish them any harm. I don’t even wish them to suffer the consequences of their parnoia and ill will. But at the same time, I don’t know if it is possible to “rebuild.” Because I don’t believe that they would extend the same empathy and courtesy to the people that they long ago decided are their culture war enemies.

I think that’s totally fair for these Twitter keyboard warriors who set out to attack on culture war issues

But i really do believe most people are just away from the keyboard trying to afford life

Why do people need life advice? And, from who and where? From the internet? I'm a bit confused, and probably one of your older audience members, who grew up knowing my center.

The "library", and as a librarian it makes me ill to use that term, will be nothing but monitors with The Apprentice and lowlights of his regime on a continuous loop.

I have a 7 lb weighted blanket I put across my legs in bed at night. It's wonderful.

Are those people blind and deaf, how is the tax cuts for the rich helping them? Or a ballroom? Or the crypto grift? He hasn’t done anything to help regular people!

Ultra right “conservatives” are like Diet Pepsi where MAGA is like Mountain Dew with another 1000mg of caffeine and 1000gm of sugar.
